If you need proof that democracy turns everyone into a leftist, then look no further than what’s going on in the 2026 election.
They’re calling it “strategic voting” this time, but there’s no real strategy involved. “Get this or that party elected to parliament” is not a strategy; it’s a mission order. Look, I’m not knocking the idea. Go ahead and split your vote, I don’t care. But don’t tell me you’re trying to hurt the left. Any strategy that involves you participating in normal democracy is inherently leftist. How many books would you like me to recommend on this topic?
Let’s get down to basics. A good “strategic” move is anything that makes your next action easier while also making it harder for your enemy to act. A strategy is not the same as a goal. A strategy – any strategy – is how you plan to defeat your enemies so you can rule uncontested (goal).
And by uncontested, I do mean uncontested. Total victory. A good strategy results in the “right” winning so hard and so finally that this strange period of degenerate, cancerous leftism over the last 200 years is relegated to the history books where it appears as a cautionary tale to scare children about what happens when the “right” stops thinking correctly about power.
The reason the “right” is getting things so wrong is that it doesn’t know its enemy. So, who is the enemy? What makes them the enemy? What are that enemy’s goals? The German jurist Carl Schmitt said politics only begins when you name the enemy. We haven’t even made it past this first step, and we’re talking about “strategic voting”? Come on guys, this is basic stuff.
Don’t say you have no enemies. That’s how slaves talk. If you don’t have any enemies, then you don’t understand history or your place in it. Maybe you will say “the left” is the enemy. That’s a bit vague, but it’s a workable answer so long as we understand what “the left” is, what makes “leftism” worth fighting against, and what “the left’s” goals are. We can start here so I can show you what a real strategy looks like if you want to win.
A leftist is anyone who wants to destroy family, property and their community of origin and has a love of the abstract and moral platitudes. The main goal for leftists as a collective is to obtain power in service of advancing an agenda that they see as the non-negotiable truth. For leftists, getting anything less than 100% of what they want is as good as losing. You can give them 95%, and they’ll call the other 5% an outrage. When they do get 100%, their vision for the future is always exposed for the farcical nonsense that it is, and they pivot to pretending like it was never what they wanted in the first place. Then they act as though they have never gotten anything they wanted at all.
This definition also allows us to see what leftism is not. Leftism is a single thing. Said differently, there is only one left. There is no such thing as the “bad left” and the “normal left.” It may appear that there are different strands of leftism, such as the Labour Party, the Greens and the Maori Party. But this difference is a malicious illusion created by agents of the left. There is only one left.
As such, the essence of all leftist action is a contradiction in terms: organised disorder. A fire is organised disorder. It appears to be a living thing with shape and structure. But it is made of nothing but chaos. Like a living thing, it can be killed; like a living thing, it can kill. Always and everywhere, leftism operates on a system of organised disorder known as “creative destruction.” The more dry tinder present in an ordered society, the more the fire of leftism can torch into ashes and then rule over those ashes. Creative destruction through organised disorder is how the left rules.
This is why something like “strategic voting” works so well for the left in a democracy. They don’t care if one small party’s politicians aren’t elected, but more of another leftist party’s politicians get in. They don’t care because they understand that there is only one left. Whoever gets in will pursue the same agenda, have the same philosophy and share the same goal of destroying family, property and community of origin. In fact, leftism, chaos (disorder) and democracy are best thought of as synonyms, which means the system of democracy itself is the enemy. To defeat democracy is to defeat the left. This is how the maths works out.
Just as the left is disorder, the “right” is order. “Right” represents peace, order and security. A rightist is anyone who accepts the natural order of family, property and community of origin. Order is good because it is order, and the alternative to order is violence at worst and democratic politics at best. An increase in order must inevitably reduce the amount of chaos in a system, just as the rising of the sun reduces the night. So, the main goal of any rightist should be to increase order.
Unfortunately, there are many kinds of “right.” They range from conservatives and libertarians to civic nationalists and monarchists. Having so many ways to increase order is a weakness, and the left knows this. The main reason rightist politics fails is that it is very difficult to have practical unity between people who base their worldview on property rights and natural law. The interests of my property, for example, do not necessarily overlap with the interests of yours, and inside that gap is disunity of action that can be exploited by the enemy of private property. No unity = chaos.
Therefore, the most foundational steps for any rightist political group – after naming the enemy correctly – should be to 1) decide on which version of rightist structure to follow, 2) pick a leader and 3) follow that leader’s orders without question. According to history, the only way for the “right” to win in any meaningful way is to concentrate its numbers, strength and force in a single action behind a leader and then do what he says until the enemy is crushed in one blow. This is called being a monarchist. Everything else is just leftism in disguise.
Conservatism is slow leftism. Civic nationalism is the political equivalent of transgenderism. Libertarianism is like one of those isotopes that can exist in a lab but immediately decays outside of a controlled setting. Other than monarchy, no other form of “right” politics is truly rightist. All of them eventually either degenerate into versions of leftism, become beholden to leftism or are used as the unwitting tools of leftists.
Without a monarch, nothing is possible. With a monarch, anything is possible. Monarchy is the only workable political system that can robustly defeat leftism because the alliance of the people with a king is the inevitable natural result of an increase in order. Monarchy can lift anything. But it is not the monarch who is doing the lifting; it is the normal citizenry (that’s us!) responding cohesively to a single central will. The more power their representative monarch has, the more power the people have.
That’s why, historically speaking, electing a king is the ultimate democracy. Isn’t this basic? Isn’t it beautiful? Isn’t this what the “right” should be figuring out instead of playing around like farm animals within the enemy’s system? “Strategic voting” is not being smart; it is being leftist. And using leftist tactics can only increase chaos and reduce order. That is not what the “right” should be doing.
If leftism is the enemy, then the correct strategy with the most potential to damage the enemy would be to take concrete steps towards monarchy, and away from democracy. The way to do this is to pick one party, pick one leader and then disestablish all other right-leaning parties immediately. Your supporters will then vote one last time for the establishment of a monarch, after which the whole corrupt leftist system of democracy will end, and every New Zealander can happily go about their lives without worrying about politics again.
Now that’s how you vote strategically.
Leftism doesn’t want you to think like this. It wants you to keep playing in the sandbox of democracy and thinking you’re smart with “strategic voting.” Leftists want you to think that monarchy was bad for the plebians (that’s us!). They don’t want you to know that the destruction of private property rights for the monarch meant the loss of private property for everyone else, which is why you don’t really own anything today. Leftism doesn’t want you to know that you can press the Fix Everything Instantly button called “elect a king.”
Do you agree with this statement: good government is preferable to misgovernment? If you say yes, then you are a monarchist, and you didn’t even know it. Welcome to the club! If you want to discuss real strategy – if you want to win – then let’s talk. I’m all ears.
