Scott Lawson of True Earth Organic Blueberries joined Paul to discuss his meeting with Wellington bureaucrats this week about the gene technology Bill, from an organic grower’s perspective, and the ability of regions like Hawkes Bay and Northland to retain their GE Free status under the Bill. The Bill was published on Parliament’s website on Tuesday, giving the public the ability to now see whether it contains such protections, expressing frustration over being left out of crucial GMO discussions.

Scott Lawson is the owner of True Earth certified organic blueberries in Hawke’s Bay with over thirty seasons under his belt. He is also on the boards of OANZ (Organic Aotearoa New Zealand) and the Hawke’s Bay Future Farming Trust.
