Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our IT systems and infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of various web technologies, data structures, and IT security practices.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Customisation:

  • Design and develop new software and customised software tools/patches.
  • Utilise web technologies and data structures such as MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Shell Scripts.
  • Develop and integrate APIs and Webhooks to enhance system functionalities.


System Administration:

  • Manage and administer Linux servers, Apache2, nginx, and other server technologies.
  • Deploy and manage containerised applications.
  • Perform data analysis, manipulation, evaluation, and extraction at the SQL level.

Maintenance and Support:

  • Maintain and optimise existing systems, including WordPress and various open-source and proprietary software.
  • Install, configure, and roll out new software applications and updates.
  • Infrastructure and Security:
  • Understand and manage complex IT infrastructures and systems.
  • Work with cloud technologies and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).
  • Implement and maintain IT security technologies to protect data and systems.

Email Systems:

  • Configure and manage different email systems, with a focus on bulk email-sending solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software development and customisation.
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies and data structures (MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Shell Scripts).
  • Expertise in Linux administration, Apache2, and nginx.
  • Proficient in data analysis, manipulation, evaluation, and extraction at the SQL level.
  • Experience with maintaining and supporting WordPress and other software systems.
  • Ability to install, configure, and roll out new software.
  • Understanding of complex IT infrastructures, cloud technologies, CDNs, and IT security practices.
  • Experience with various email systems, especially for bulk email sending.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent work ethic combined with a high level of commitment and efficiency.
